| 簡介內容 | The University of Missouri-St. Louis is one of the four campuses that constitute the University of Missouri. The campus in Columbia was founded in 1839. The Rolla campus opened in 1870. In 1963 campuses were added in Kansas City and St. Louis. The University of Missouri is governed by a Board of Curators which appoints the president of the university. Each campus is supervised by a chancellor.
UM-St. Louis has become the largest university serving St. Louisans and the third largest university in the state. Student enrollment has grown to more than 12,000. Academic programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Fine Arts and Communication, and Nursing, Honors College, School of Optometry, Engineering Program, and the Graduate School. The curriculum has developed to include 47 undergraduate programs, 30 master’s programs, 13 doctoral programs, and the Doctor of Optometry degree.
The University of Missouri-St. Louis works in partnership with other community institutions to help the St. Louis region progress and prosper and the campus provides opportunities for the people of the metropolitan area to receive high quality and accessible liberal arts, career, professional, and graduate education.
